Hey, I’m Mallory and I am an enthusiastic mother of one little man + enthusiastic photographer. I love good laughs, good music, and good vintage dresses.
Also, there’s nothing better than getting to know you. I don’t want you to say “cheese” and get your family all weird a la Awkward Family Photos, but you wouldn’t want to all wear denim pants and matching shirts anyways, right?
Right.
I want to capture you being you being you. My photos are a blend of candid photojournalism and artistic style, therefore creating a collection of fun pictures that reflects who your family is, so you have a “portrait” of your family. By getting to know you are your children, learning their favorite Backyardigan character, and by running and playing hide and go seek, I engage with children and help draw out their personalities. With over ten years of childcare experience and a goofy sense of humor, my portrait sessions are more like a fun play date, rather than a traditional “sit here and smile nice” session. I am just as likely to capture your son flying around the room with his favorite blanket cape as I am to capture your daughter’s face in a big tantrum complete with crocodile tears. Because, as a mother, I know that everything in childhood is fleeting and everything in childhood is beautiful in its own way.
